Triple layer embossing wedding invitation

I am so excited to show you my wedding invitation created for my upcoming wedding on November 23rd. This will be my second wedding so I didn’t want to do the big fan fair.

We are having a very small and intimate gathering. My 10 nieces and nephews  will be in attendance. My daughter is the maid of honor and my son will be walking me down the aisle.

Now for the card…..I have seen quite a few cards done in the triple layer technique and wanted to really give it a go. I started with a certainly celery card base and used very vanilla  card stock and silver card stock.

I embossed the layered very vanilla card stock with the wedding suite stamp set, now retired, in silver embossing powder. One tip I found to help the layers stick but still remove them from one another was to adhere each piece with a small piece of tape runner  and rub your finger over the piece and get it less sticky. Before taking the layers apart I ran the layers through the big shot and the lacy brocade embossing folder. Once layers are separated and  add them to the silver card stock layers.

To make the belly band I punched certainly celery card stock with the retired ribbon border punch.  I added the 5/8″ organza ribbon to accent the belly band. I embossed the letter R from the retired monogram stamp set in silver and mounted it on a scallop square punch piece of silver card stock. I was really pleased with the way it turned out and have received lots of compliments.  Hope you enjoy!!!

So where did you put your text -on the back or is one layer the invitation, one the reception and one the RSVP?
